Soames Hill Park in Gibsons, BC

Maps and directions to Soames Hill in Gibsons, BC.

No place gives you a better view of Gibsons than the top of Soames Hill. This 45-minute hike provides you with spectacular vistas of Howe Sound and even Vancouver Island. The walk up is steep but the view is more than worth the effort.

Soames Hill Park is a five-minute drive from Gibsons and covers 97 acres with more than 5 kilometers of forested hiking trails. But the star attraction is the lookout point at the summit, 250 meters above the ocean. From here, you’ll get a bird’s eye view of Gibsons Harbour, the Bluff, and Plumper Cove Marine Provincial Park on Keats Island.

Dogs are permitted but need to be on a leash. And remember that you’re in the forest and that means sharing the space with wildlife like deer or possibly even bears.

There are five accesses to the park but I typically use the Bridgeman Road entrance. Visit the links under the video for a map of trails, entrance points, and lookouts.
