Market Minute - June 2018

May is typically one of the busiest times of year for most real estate markets but that wasn’t the case this year on the Sunshine Coast.

Housing prices on the Sunshine Coast have been relatively flat for the past few months but the number of sales have dropped dramatically. Then, between April and May of this year, Sunshine Coast listings increased by 15.5 per cent. This means there are more homes on the market with fewer people buying them. This leads to flattening or even dropping prices.

There are three keys to selling in a buyer’s market: One, pick the right price. Two, get as much exposure for the listing as possible. And three, aggressively negotiate every offer. What starts as a lowball price can often turn into a fair deal with the right Realtor representing you.

Call me when you’re ready to sell. I’m the leading real estate marketer on the Sunshine Coast and my listings videos typically get thousands of views from local and out-of-market buyers.
