Take Your Dog to Work Day

There is no greater sadness than leaving your best friend at home when you head out to work. But June 26th offers a solution to this heartbreak – that's the day we celebrate the 22nd annual Take Your Dog to Work Day.

A 2016 study states that offices with pets experience lower stress than offices without. Taking a break to check on your four-legged friend forces you to change your focus and gets you moving. This doggy timeout may also increase your body's stress-reducing hormones.

When preparing for your canine fieldtrip, be sure to pack essentials like a water bowl, a collar and leash, and some clean-up bags. As discussed in a previous video, there are fewer things more disrespectful than not cleaning up after your furry pal.

If you do take your dog to work later this month, you're invited to post a photo on Instagram. Tag your picture with #TYDTWD and show the world how professional your puppy looks.
